Tiger nuts, (locally known as ‘atadwe‘ in Ghana) are said to be a source of fatty acids, fiber, vitamins and minerals. These are highly appreciated for their health benefits and nutritive value. Tiger nuts (earth almonds or chufa) are not actually nuts but dried tubers from a plant found in Ghana, Spain, and other African countries. They are said to have been eaten by our ancestors as they are dense in nutrition and fiber. These are perfect snacks for the Paleo diet.
