Turkey Tail Mushroom (Native UK Strain) Liquid Culture (Trametes versicolor) Cloned from a wild specimen found locally. Trametes versicolor is known for its colourful, banded appearance and long history of use in traditional herbal practices. While not a culinary mushroom, it’s perfect for making teas, tinctures, and extracts. Prepared under sterile lab conditions and suspended in a nutrient-rich solution, this culture is ideal for growing on hardwood substrates indoors or on logs outdoors. Work SterileEnsure a clean work environment. Use a still air box or laminar flow hood, and sanitize all surfaces, tools, and gloves with 70% isopropyl alcohol. Inoculate SubstrateInject 1–2 ml of liquid culture into your sterile substrate. Hardwood sawdust or a supplemented sawdust mix works best. Use a sterile needle and injection port for best results. IncubateKeep inoculated containers or logs in the dark at 20–25°C (68–77°F). Colonization may take several weeks depending on substrate type. Introduce to Fruiting ConditionsMove to a humid, fresh air environment with indirect light. Fruiting can take time but yields beautiful, banded rosettes. Ideal for outdoor log grows or indoor display and medicinal harvests. Store under 5°C. Refrigerate.
